We are pleased to announce that Jaap-Jan Pietersen has joined the Combifloat team in Rotterdam as deputy managing director as of February 1st. During the year, Jaap-Jan will gradually take over the leadership from Bas de Jong who will focus on a more strategical role within the group as Chairman of the Board.

Jaap-Jan brings along substantial experience in the offshore industry across important markets that complement Combifloat’s network. He will build on the work already done to develop a strategy for further growth. Previously he was working as the managing director for Jack Up Barge BV, Head of Business Unit Middle East for Miclyn Express Offshore and various roles within SVITZER and the larger A.P. Moller-Maersk group where he started as a management trainee.

Jaap-Jan said “I am excited to join Combifloat at this stage and develop a new chapter of growth. Combifloat is the dominant modular jack up company and has a proven track record globally. Its unique design makes the units extremely versatile to adjust to the clients requirements and markets. We will continue to explore new opportunities that benefit our clients.”

Bas de Jong commented: “We are very happy and excited that Jaap-Jan has joined our team. His extensive experience in the industry, combined with his personal skills make him a very valuable addition to our team. We look forward to the next phase in the development of Combifloat.”
